Hi,

I have a 2 page report but when I print it, it prints 4 pages with 2 blank pages in between.

I am sure that the text, line etc are fitted in each page and no overlapping. Can you advise

what causing this? I am using Infomaker 2017.

Thanks

Arthur

Do you have access to another (different make/model) printer? If so, try printing to it. All printers are not alike. You say you are sure all of the content being printed is within the page boundaries...does that take into account the minimum print margins that are inherent in nearly all printers. If the content being printed exceeds the printable page area supported by the printer by even the tiniest amount, you will get extra blank pages.

If still no luck resolving the issue, I would make a copy of the report/DataWindow to experiment with. Then, look for blank or empty text objects (select all objects and temporarily change the background color to green or red, for example). Look for lines, columns or other objects that come anywhere CLOSE to the right margin, then one by one, delete or move them, testing after each change. If you find the problem, you can then make the necessary change(s) to the real report.

Good luck!

Hi Arthur;

I would follow John's suggestion and look for objects outside the A4 dimensions and also upgrade to IM2017R3 to see that cures the problem.

Greetings, Arthur -

Check the paper size in your DataWindows/Reports. When we migrated from v12.5 to 2017 in PowerBuilder, the default paper size switched to A4 and we saw the same behavior you are experiencing because our printers use 8.5" x 11".
