SVN show log from PB IDE is not working. I selected an Object and then selected SVN Show Log from the right-click menu. The Tortoise SVN Log viewer opened and gave an error that the folder (PBL Source Folder) is not a working copy. Did anyone have this issue? I am using PowerBuilder 2017 R3.

Did you install TortoiseSVN and configure that in PB?

Are you able to successfully do a Show Log using TortoiseSVN itself?

I have TortoiseSVN client and its configured in PB but its an old version (TortoiseSVN 1.6.16, Build 21511 - 64 Bit ).  When I navigate to the ws_objects or the pbl src folder, Show Log option does not display with the Tortoise SVC Client. But I do see it when I am in the main checked out folder. When I do the Show Log from the main checked out folder it gives me an error  "The path 'C:\.......' appears to be part of a Subversion 1.7 or greater working copy. Please upgrade your Subversion client to use this working copy."

If TortoiseSVN is not working properly then you have a TortoiseSVN issue rather than a PowerBuilder issue.  The reason is that the Show Log feature in PowerBuilder is relies on TortoiseSVN for this functionality.

I would recommend to uninstall TortoiseSVN client and then reinstall latest version and see if that clears up your problem.  If problem still continues you may want to re-post your question as TortoiseSVN Show Log not working to get better response.
