I have PB application (.exe, pbd, dlls ...)  installed on management server , also I have application server (IIS server) that has a script to connects to Sybase database which installed on database  server to generate reports . When I run PB application to call a script on management server to make reports , I got nothing, no reports , but when I run script manually on DOS Command prompt on IIS server , I got the reports . I tried to connect both  management server and IIS server by adding name of IIS server to management server using Server management tool but it still does not work. Even though, I installed PB application directly to IIS serve , it still does not work. Does anyone know what problem is ? Thank you.

Yes, I logged in to server as Admin and run app with option "run as administrator" option , still no luck.

It sounds like your PB app doesn't have the privileges to execute the script.  Have you tried launching your PB .exe using "run as administrator" option?

Hi Chris,

What is the PB App is it that sits on the IIS server (web service, EXE, etc) and how is it installed on that machine?

No, PB app (desktop app ) is installed in different server which has .exe , pbd , dlls ....

IIS server contains batch files to connect database (using DBlibrary) to make reports. Also web services.

Database is on another server (sybase 16)

  1. What is the Server O/S version? windows server 2012r2
  2. What is the IIS version?  8.5
  3. What version & build is your PB? 2022
  4. Are there any messages in the Server's App Event or IIS log files?  Run from PB app  no log files created on IIS server,  but run manually from IIS , log created , no error. Look like no connection between servers. I tried to add IIS server to server has PB app but it still doesn't work.

Thank you.

Hi Kelvin;

FWIW: Sounds like your IIS script that launches the PB App EXE does so without the correct elevated privileges.
