Greetings All,

Generally users can use iwarunner.html in the URL to load the Appeon application.  But I have one or two users where they occasionally report that it does not work.

Can someone kindly offer a suggestion as to what might be wrong?

Thank you!!  Paul

Hi Paul;

  Can you tell us ....

1) Version & build of PowerServer (PS)

2) Does this error happen all the time or is it intermittent

3) Any more information in the PS logs?

4) Any log/error information in the "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Appeon\Appeon IWA Runner" folder?

5) Have you tried reinstalling IWA Runner using ADMIN mode?

Regards ... Chris

Thanks Chris. And sorry, I should know better...

1) PB 12.5 with Appeon 2016.

2) It appears to be intermittent and only affecting one of two people.

Hi Paul;

If its "intermittent" then #5 would not apply.

Any log file in the user's IWA PC folder (C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Appeon\Appeon IWA Runner\log )?

Regards ... Chris

Hi Paul,

Are these users are using proxy servers? Please refer to the article below to configure the proxy for IWA. And please test to run application on IE.

Thanks Zhoa,

One of our team members resolved the issue as follows...

Paul

"Hi Paul

The issue is that the Browsers on Eddie’s are working on Windows 7 and that for some reason blocking the Downloads of the Active X Control which it needs to run the App.

I manually installed the Active X needed for the app – And it at the moment can run only through the IE."

This can be marked as resolved, but not sure if the error message could be more descriptive. Thanks!! Paul

Yes, most likely because the Tech had "local Admin" privileges when they ran the IWARunner install. ;-)
