hi,

As of today we are using PushOk as our Git sourcecontroll client with appeon pb 2017 R3, and it work well.

But we most strongly wont to use Appeon tools. Our developers like to use library view when working with the source, and as we see it, appeon Git Sourcecontroll do not show any indications on files regarding checkout or not.

Do anybody know any way around this problem?

Ivan:

Are you using Gitolite or GitLab EE Premium as your Git server to achieve file locking?

Thank you.

Hi Ivan,

It is true that the Git related functions are not accessible on the Library Painter. We will consider enhancing this feature in a future release. In the meantime, please note that Git doesn't really have the concept of check out/check in. If what you want to see is a list of the modified object files, we recommend that you install TortoiseGit and use it Diff function to achieve that.

Regards,

Tom Jiang

Git functionality from the Library painter would be extremely helpful!

Hi Kevin;

FYI: Ticket #2026 has already been opened as an enhancement request for this feature as has been assigned to Engineering.
