Good morning, my PB IDE is not showing the three window’s bar buttons on the right-hand side that is the Minimize, Maximize and Close the window buttons. Also, when running my application, when in a DW the edit checkbox is not showing. This seems to be in PowerBuilder IDE and PB runtime only since all my other applications are displaying them.

Effectively Ronnie Po, the themes files were the culprit here. Once I installed the latest from our inhouse developer working on them all came back to normal. Thank you all for your many suggestions.

Hi.

You should mark Ronnie's answer as the correct one.

Hi Michel;

    This seems like it might be a simple O/S "low on resources" (especially GDI resources). Did you try a simple complete reboot (shutdown + restart)?

Are you using UI Themes? If so, check the "window" section in your theme.json file and make sure that the files referenced in "min-button", "max-button" and "close-button" are available to the app at runtime.

In the attachment I have a response window and on the top right of the response window the close button is expected instead we have a white area. Also, notice the two dddw with the properties defined as having Always Show Arrow and they are not displayed at runtime. However if you click in the white area where the close button is or on the dropdown then the click fires as expected for either of them. This is not only happening for the response that I have attached but throughout the application.

Hi, Michel -

Are you expecting the upper-right corner of the PB IDE to appear similar to this?

Does it instead look like this?

If so, click the "Restore Down" button indicated by the red arrow.

Best regards, John

Hi Michael,

What PB version? What's your environment? What runtime versions are present in your system?

Regards,
Francisco
