good morning everyone. I have an issue that I cannot resolve with the WEBBROWSER object (2019r3 / 2022).
I am trying to browse a web page (video.HTML) that plays an embedded VIMEO file. If I browse the page with chrome everything works. If I launch this page from PB with WEBBROWSER, the Vimeo player gives errors. If I browse the same page using a small software created with c # it works instead. I checked the browser features requested by VIMEO, at least for chrome, but I find no contraindications. Has anyone had any such problems ?? I don't know what to look for and where !!

Thank you if you can be of any help.

Hi Alessandro,

This issue caused by that the video format(mp4) is not supported by WebBrowser.
WebBrowser supports browsing videos in common formats in web page (MPEG-4 ASP, H.264, and H.265 formats are unsupported), you can find this information in PowerBuilder help.

Hi Alexandro;

  My guess is that its a missing CODEC decompression file for the associated video. I would suggest though opening a Support Ticket for PB2022 as this release has the new CEF (Chromium) engine under-the-hood that drives the built-in Web Browser control. So I think that Engineering should have a closer look at this (just my $0.02).

Regards ... Chris
