Resolved WEB API with Snap Develop and HANA as DB

Hi Guys

anyone of you has already tried to build up a web api with SNAP Develop connected to HANA as DB?

I tried using an ODBC connection but it doesn't work

Seems Cannot connect to hana...

I tried this connection string:

driver={HDBODBC};UID=myUser;PWD=myPassword;serverNode=myServer:30013;
databaseName=TDB1

But no way

Any help?

I get the right connection string

I can share here:

"Driver={HDBODBC32};uid=SYSTEM;servernode=<serverip>:<port>;currentschema=<schema>;pwd=Passw0rd;DelimitIdentifier=Yes"

But I have another problem now the delimit identifier is "[" or "]"

Is there anyway to set it at runtime?

Do you plane to support HANA too? (please)

Sorry my friend, HANA will not be supported in short time. It's not a matter of simply getting the connection string right. The .NET DataStore doesn't generate the appropriate SQL to work with HANA. The .NET DataStore currently supports SQL Server, Oracle, SQL Anywhere, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite. In the next version we plan to support ASE, SQL Azure, and AWS Aurora.

Thank you my friend but as you know we work a lot with SAP Business One so we cannot consider HANA as a Database to NOT connect to.

So if you have no plan to make .NET Datastore compliant to HANA too we must adopt some other tool...

It's so difficult to integrate with HANA or is just a DB you don't care about?

Could you suggest me an alternative or can I do something to help you make your .NET Datastore compliant to HANA?

Hi Giuseppe, the ODBC connection is just for SQL Anywhere only.  It will not work with any other database.  In the latest build of SnapDevelop we have made it clear when you select ODBC that it will only work with SQL Anywhere.  Sorry for any confusion caused.
