The window is getting freeze which is having the MS-office(we are using O365 version)
control attached on that window via OLE control.
When we open that window,
while initializing the WORD component, it is getting freeze for sometime.

And because of this we are facing performance issue.
So any suggestion around which third-party Office ActiveX/OCX product I can use?

I believe I heard someone once say the new Rich Text Control in PowerBuilder is really the TX Text Control and it has all / most of the features of the Enterprise version. So looking here it looks like it does support Excel too

    https://www.textcontrol.com/products/activex/tx-text-control-activex/features/

Definitely worth giving it a try. Note there are multiple version of Rich Text Control in PowerBuiulder so you'll want to read the help to make sure you are using the latest one, as you have to select it somewhere in the IDE as your default Rich Text Control, and you'll need to using a realtively new version of PowerBuilder to get all these features (2017? 2019?)

It's fairly easy to use once you are using the right one, so you should be able to test it pretty quickly.

Yes. Powerbuilder's Rich Text Control is stripped down version of TX Text Control (https://www.textcontrol.com/products/activex/tx-text-control-activex/overview/). Though not all features of the enterprise version is available in Powerbuilder's version, Appeon is adding features one by one in its product. Though I'm not sure whether Appeon is planning to add some features in the upcoming version of Powerbuilder, it's worth to check for that also.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but if it's display a Word document in PowerBuilder then it's worth looking at the new Rich Text Control that came in the latest versions of PowerBuilder. I believe it has the ability to display and edit Word documents.

Thanks for the response.

Yes I am looking to display the Word document in PowerBuilder. In our use case, we use to format the document and attaching the spreadsheet(.xlx) file.

So please let me know if I can attach the spreadsheet in Rich Text control.
