I deployed an application using PB 2019 build 2082.  When the user scrolls on a grid datawindow, the scrolling is very lagging but when I run the application on my PC (which has PB installed), there is now lag.  Both PC's are up to date with Windows, Office and .Net updates.

Roland,

Could this be related to the bug you found when not including  PBTHEME190.DLL for the runtime libraries?

Roland.

Thank you. That was it. I saw that file in the runtime files but since I didn't change my theme, I didn't copy it.

There are at least two bug reports on this, one of them from me. They are looking into fixing it. I think in the meantime they will be updating the list of deployment files in the help.

HI,

Does the user have a 4K monitor? In that case see this post: https://community.appeon.com/index.php/qna/q-a/remote-desktop-with-4k-monitor?limitstart=0#reply-13971

I'm seeing the same problem.

We are migrating from 12.5 to 2019. It works fine on a laptop that has the PowerBuilder IDE installed but very slow on a Windows 10 laptop or Windows Server via Remote Desktop that only has InfoMaker on it.

We also had this issue, but only with a single client out of 80.  The issue was specific to a Grid DW.

It resolved itself after their IT team reinstalled the Mouse Drivers or installed brand specific drivers, instead of using generic windows drivers.

In our case, it was not related to 4K monitors.

Regards,

Michael

To add further, lmy application is going from PB 12.5 to Powerbuilder 2019.  The application is 32-bit with PBD being distributed.  Whenever there is a newer version of PB, it usually is just a recompile, add the new DLL's and off I go.

Thanks

Mike
