See attached.....

I copied the ribbonbarmenudemo2.pbl and ribbonbarmenudemo2.pbt and ribbonbarmenugenerator from Bruce Armstrong's Ribbon Generator iinto a traget with all my applications pbl's.

when I run the p_ribbonbarmenu3 from the ribbon generator, it allows me to select the menu that needs to be translated but there is no action of translation that takes place. I would expect a run button.

So I am not getting how this is activated to translate my current menu's into xml to get me started in the right direction. I expected it would translate the menu into a base xml format menu so that I can then start modifying it.

Help!!!!!!

1. Do NOT run the utility from the PowerBuilder IDE. You have to compile it and run the compiled version. It adds the library list for the target application to it's own library path, and you have to be running an executable to do that. That doesn't work when you run it from the IDE.

2. I've updated the sample at https://community.appeon.com/index.php/codeexchange/powerbuilder/254-ribbonbar-menu-generator to address a couple of minor issues and to add a "Run" button. However, as Arthur noted you can just double click the menu in the list too.

I also update the video I referenced in the text describing to code sample to make the use of it clearer (and because somehow the audio got lost on the original recording).

Hi

as written in the last answer to you it's a double click on the menu name in the datawindow. Feel free to add a run button :-) that class the generation function.

Regards
Arthur
