If I save a report to .PSR and the DataWindow has image files on it, do they have to be present as separate files to appear on the report? If a program displays a .PSR file and has the images embedded using a .PSR file, will it use those?

my understanding is that it works just like a datawindow - it will use images in the current directory, or the specified directory that it has for the file name/path in the datawindow.  it will also use any that are stored in the exe/pbd using the same rules as a datawindow at runtime.

I wish we could have an image be loaded as a blob at both design and runtime into the datawindow and have it saved in the PSR/datawindow without requiring external files.

Hi Mike;

=> I wish we could have an image be loaded as a blob at both design and runtime

That would go against the concept of a PSR (like a PDF) being an independent report that needs *no* DBMS connection.

And THUS, can be used in a PSR viewer. For example: http://chrispollach.blogspot.com/2023/03/psr.html

not sure what you are talking about since i wrote that in context of the datawindow. the PSR in my 'wish' would have the image embedded in it
