When Powerbuilder 2017 R3 is released in July will it be possible to develop and test PowerServer Web applications using the Universal Edition?  I understand that a PowerServer  Web license is required to use PowerServer Web for production applications.

Hi Steve;

   Yes, this is the plan. Appeon will be including PowerServer Web/Mobile developer version with PB 2017 R3 release instead of just the PowerServer Mobile only version that you get with R2 today. So now you will be able to prototype, test & develop both Web and Mobile Apps in the R3 Universal edition.  yes

   You are correct, a PowerServer Web/Mobile license will be required for production use.

Regards ... Chris
