After a developer clones the repository. Then opens the Powerbuilder IDE and selects the .pbw file via "Open Workspace". Next, when the project is added through the IDE for version control, the IDE executes an unnecessarily empty commit. What for?

Can one bypass this unnecessary commit?

Hi Tareq;

     I assume that you are either talking about either the new GIT or SVN SCM feature. I would recommend opening a support ticket on this issue. If there is an extra commit - that should not be happening IMHO.

Thanks, I did this. But an additional commit is wrong. Actually, there should be no commit at all, because there are no changes. The IDE does this while adding the version control files. This must happen once with each developer. The fact that no changes are displayed during adding to version controll via IDE, this is simply redunant
