Hi MLB;

You should be OK using W10.

I've seen this before where your Anti-virus software is interfering with the App generation. What AV software are you using?

Also as a random thought, please try running your IDE "As Admin". That "might" help.

Trend = Anti Virus

Run as Administrator doesn't work

Thanks for trying that. It was a bit of a "long shot". I'd still bet that it's an AV related problem.

Hi Marie;

  FWIW: If you are using the VM for where the PB IDE is installed (remoting into the VM via RDT from your W10 PC) then it could be because of the IDE installed on an MS-Windows "SERVER" edition.

  If that is the case, note that the IDE is not supported on MS-Windows "server" editions...

Very weird, I'd suggest you create a support ticket for this: https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug

How are you doing the compile? The Project Painter? One of the batch tools?

Machine or P-code?

The more details you give the better answer you'll get.

HI Roland Smith,

It is with Pcode.

Windows 10.

It works then it doesn't. Sometimes it does create the exe but it doesn't want to execute.

Other times it just create the _TMP_.tmp file.

That doesn't answer the question. What tool are you using to compile the exe? Are you using the Project Painter or one of the batch programs?

Sounds like your anti-virus software interfering.  As quick test, can you temporarily disable anti-virus software and see if problem gets resolved?
