Hi all,

Does anyone have experience getting a PowerBuilder application working with the JAWS screen reader software?

I can't even get it to read the menu items of the frame menu in an MDI application when the application initially starts up.  It just reads each menu item as 'graphic 154', 'graphic 438', ... and doesn't actually read their text.

I have other issues with some individual inputs, but I think I can work around those issues if I can get it to understand the menu.  In googling I've seen references to PB and JAWS, but never problems relating to the menus.  Am I doing something wrong?  I've tried this with versions 12.5 and 2019 R2 with the same results.

I've figured out what is causing the menuing to not work with JAWS - its the menu style.  JAWS can read the menus if the menu style is traditionalmenu!, but not if the style is contemporymenu!

I've tried a number of different versions of the 32-bit oleacc.dll file and dropped them in the application runtime folder with no change in behaviour

I only have Windows 10 to try it on, so can't speak to the behaviour on Windows 7

Do you have the problem only on Windows 10 OS?  Or does Windows 7 OS have same problem?
