Hi All,

We've been running our PB application using PB2019 and Build 2703 with ODBC connection to DB2. It's been working for the past years except today where any update to a specific table initiates a lock which does not resolve itself until you log off the application. It's never happened before. The DBAs claim nothing it's changed in DB2. Everything works fine in Development and Test Databases for the application. Any ideas on what to do?

Also what's the latest version of PB? Maybe upgrading could fix the situation. Is there a way to release locks after save in PB if DB2 isn't doing so?

Thanks,

Kwadwo Boahene

Something changed somewhere.  My suggestion is focus your effort to find what changed.  Making additional changes like upgrading PowerBuilder or Database versions could compound the problem.  Most likely is is either recent code change or database configuration change that broke things since it has been working fine for long time.
