I'm spending work time every day carefully checking through the topics to see whether anything I have asked, or answered when asked by someone else, has an update. That really isn't a good use of my time!

What is the obstacle to fixing the email notification feature? That's a pretty standard feature in forums like this! Thanks.

Yes, I'm not finding the forum to be very usable and as a result am not as fully engaged as I should be. I rely on email notifications to trigger my involvement otherwise other work just takes over.

I also find navigating the issues and replys to be a bit clunky and time consuming.

I think they should try a completely different forum software package.

Vanilla Forums is used by Xamarin and the Star Wars Battlefront video game.

Thanks Roland.  Just FYI, we are strongly leaning towards switching away from Drupal Commons for the Community Site.  But we are looking at open-source options and that we host ourselves so we have room to integrate it more tightly into our other website properties and enable more advanced functionality in the future.

Dan,

We have a small web team.  They were pulled away on other functionalities of our other websites, some of which you as a customer do not see.  

We know the community is an important website as well and it is on our list of things that will be resolved.  Please hang in there.
