Resolved Old PowerBuilder 6.5.1 question

Does anyone know how to get a copy of the PowerBuilder 6.5.1 patch? We have this in prod and looking to create a test environment so we can test migrate from 6.5 to PB 2022 but we longer have the exe or files for 6.5.1 patch. We try to do DB connections without it and it gives errors about non supported DB version's > 7.5.

Great, now Google says the file nieeds to be reviewed as it might be some kind of violation. The only violations here are the ones that Google keeps inflicting upon us. Let me know if you cannot download it and I'll upload it to Onedrive.

I just noticed that my Path variable was trashed. I don't know what installer did it, could be one of the PB 6.5 or PB 7 installers I ran. Now I'll have to rebuild it as things fail.

If you run into a problem with old installers hanging for no apparent reason, here is the fix:

Open Task Manager

Go to the Details tab

Find the installer exe

Right-click on the exe and choose 'Analyze wait chain'

Kill the app it is waiting on

Repeat until it says the program is running or you see the installer running correctly.
