Is there a way to have the user pick an option from the dropdown and have a linebreak inserted into the column? I've tried everything I could think of but couldn't make it work. I guess I could use a placeholder string and replace it with a proper linebreak during the update process but then I'd also have to replace linebreaks with the placeholder after retrieval to get the proper display value. I'd rather find a native way to do this but I fear it might not be possible.

Hi Benjamin.

An example would be nice to help us understand what exactly you want to achieve.

Andreas.

Yeah, I will try that. Thought I'd try the easier one first. :)

You may have to play with syntax when your datawindow is ready, as the editor doubles the ~ characters sometimes.

By the way, I do always prefer dropdowndatawindows. You make it once and it can be reused. When I want to use it as a dropdownlistbox, I make an external datawindow that contains all needed data.
