Hello Support Team,

 

We are from huntsman Global IT, and we have an application called “Info maker 2017 ” which is installed in one of the user system (@Mark Adkins) but not working from many days.

 

So we need your assistance to upgrade the info maker to latest version;  I have few questions mentioned below

 

  1. Since this is licensed application, will your support team help to upgrading from older version 2017 to latest version ?

 

  1. To upgrade from older version to newer version, any cost will be involved ? if yes, what is the premium cost for upgrading Info maker app to latest version for one user (mark Adkins)?

 

  1. To fix the application issue or installation issue, will your technical team support on fixing installation issue or app issue in user system ?

 

  1. Does it have any cost involved to fixing the issues which user facing ?

Hi.

This is a developer forum. While, you may get information that will help you solve the issue, this isn't a support forum. If you need support, appeon does offer standard support for all users having an active subscription for the product in question. You can open a support case to Search Bugs | Appeon.

Infomaker, like powerbuilder, is sold in a yearly subscription plan basis. You can upgrade to any newer version while your subscription is active (paid). You can use infomaker only during the period you have an active paid subscription.

Upgrades are normally simple tasks. What you have to do is to take a backup of your pbls before trying to load it to a newer version of infomaker.

About, the currently installed version not working, this statement is really vague. Does the user use an online license or an offline? What is the actual problem? If it's that infomaker doesn't run at all, you can always try to uninstall it and then reinstall it. This may fix the problem you are facing.

Hi Naidu;

  Your current IM subscription allows you to download the latest IM version (2022R3) which can coexist along side IM 2017. Once both IM versions are installed, copy your IM 2017 project library files into a new OS folder. Then open the copied workspace in IM 2022R3 & it will "Auto Migrate" your PBL libraries for you. After that, you should be able to once again run your reports & forms under the new IM version as before.

  If you have an issue in IM 2022R3 that you think is a product "bug", then you can open a free support ticket. That also includes IM 2022 R3:installation issues as well.

Hello Andreas,

User have both the versions (2017,2022) are installed. when user trying to open existing .psr files which created in 2017 version are not opening in new

version , count keep on increasing on the application. Bit difficult to explain, can anyone join in teams if we share teams invite on monday ?  we need

teams call support very quickly. Please try to understand as user getting frustrated day by day.

Hi Naidu;

That is not unusual as PSR files contain the Report Source as well as the data. The report source is IM *version dependent* !

Please try recreating the PSR file(s) in IM 2022 Rx and then see if the IM IDE will open those new built PSR's OK.
