I have just gotten done installing pb2017 and appeon powerserver trials.  i have gotten the sales demo to work in both the client and the web versions. so i tried a brand new template application and named it hello world.  I published to both mobile and web.  100% success in deployment.  However, when I go to run it in the web, I get an HTTP 404.0 - Not found error.  I am sure I am missing something.

Hi Jon,
what project type did you select for hello world? web, mobile or universal?
After successful deployment you must have your hello world application published under c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ (replace name in parenthesis with the webroot specified in the Appeon deployment profile).
Can you see this folder?
Now, according to the project type, if it is Web then open the browser and type http://localhost/helloworld to run the application. If it is mobile use the Appeon WorkSpace installed in your tablet/smartphone. If it is Universal, any of the two aforementioned.
Cheers,
Marco

I choose universal.  Here is where it is published: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\PowerServerMobile\helloworld

I go here: http://localhost:8383/helloworld/

It does not seem to be looking in the same place that the app was published.

Hi Jon;

   Is your IIS's HTTP port truly binding to port 8383 ?

What is the URL you are using for the Demo Apps?

Regards ... Chris

Yes.  I have a different port for each website as I am on a cable connection and can only have a single IP address.  However, I did figure this out.  I changed the web server profile configuration to be in the PowerServerTrial folder and the application now works.  This is the folder that I had setup in the installation.
