Hi all,

is there a way, how to show the preview of a report/dw inside the print-dialog of Windows 11?

Geman: "Kein Vorschau verfügbar" means that no preview is available...

it was not possible to show the print preview. Even worse was that the DWO print properties were not transmitted correctly... we changed to the old print dialog, based on this recommendation here https://www.howto-connect.com/fix-printing-from-win32-application-no-preview-available-windows-11-or-10/

 

...but I hope that with PB22 the issue will not be there...(currently I was not able to test it with PB22).

I think we should ask for an enhancement request. It really is a windows problem. Thanks for that link !

Hi Gzim;

I followed your link but in the RegEdit path section it mentions but the W11 registry structure has no such "Print" entry. :-(

Even if I added the last part of the missing registry structure & its settings, rebooted - this had no effect on the PB 2022 R2 App printing in my testing.

BTW: I am using W11 version 22H2 build 22261.1848.

Hi,

Which version of PB are you using? If not on PB2022 (2021?) you'll be told that that version is not compatible with PB and that you have to upgrade. Once you've done that, if the error is still there, I think you should create a support ticket: https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/newbug

Have you tried other PDF printers like CutePDF writer?

Can you try to put your dw in "print preview" mode before calling the print function?

...it's not just from powerbuild, the new dialog shows also from other tools like editor or notpad++. I was just wondering if there is any way to control it...(?)

ah, so it's a windows "problem". That changes everything, Google is your friend now :)
