We are using Powerbuilder 2019 R3 version and we need to use Oracle Instant client (19.18) version and checking the compatibility. Did anyone used it with 2019 R3 and faced any challenges? is there any documentation on using Oracle Instant client with Powerbuilder?

Thanks in Advance

Veerendra B.

Hi Veerendra,

I checked the documentation and it appears that PowerBuilder 2019 R3 supports Oracle 19c. I'm not quite familiar with Oracle's versioning system; does the instant client 19.18 target Oracle 19c? If so, then most likely PB supports it as well.

Regards,
Francisco

Thanks for pointing that Francisco, I found in local help document that "The ORA database interface allows you to connect to Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c servers using Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c Database Client or Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c Instant Client. "
