Windows 10. 64 bit platform
Citrix hosted VM

UPDATE:  Monday, 13-APR-2020

Thanks to Armeen's suggestion I was able to successfully install baseline PBv12.0, open up a workspace, connect to a database, and successfully run the application! Thank you, Armeen!

Next, I need to upgrade to PBv12.1, build 7055, so the first thing I did was download the baseline PBv12.1 upgrade EBF 18315. I run the SETUP.EXE as Administrator. It starts to open up the installer, then I get this:

The same error occurs when I try to run it from the CMD PROMPT> setup -i GUI

Criminey! Now what?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am attempting to install PowerBuilder v12.0 onto my new workstation - a VM.
MS Visual Studio is already installed (not by me), so when I try to install the .NET v4.0 files required by PB, it refuses to install stating that a higher level of .NET is already installed.
Whenever I try to install PBv12.0, I click "Skip this install" whenever the .Net msg is displayed.
PB appears to install smoothly, until the very end, when I get this and the entire installation abends.
HELP! How can I get PBv12 to install on my VM?
Thank You!
The highlighted line in your screen shot is not .Net, it is the C/C++ Runtime.
That's just a random app that was under the mouse when I took the screenshot. Thepoint was to show that MS VC++ was installed.
Hi Olan, Maybe try re-running the PowerBuilder setup and uncheck all the .NET related stuff of PB 12?
I thought I had done that, but perhaps I missed something. I'll try it again with a focus on NOT selecting anything NET related.
Thank You.
Also watch out for DB drivers that are ADO.NET and sample apps
