My setup

  • Windows 10.0.18362.10024
  • PB 2019 R2 #2203
  • Monitor Scale Factor = 125%

When I open C# Class Importer in PB IDE it redraws at 100% while rest of screen remains at 125%. IDE Toolbar also displays at 125% and therefore overlap with menu bar rendering IDE hard to use. I have to restart IDE to return to normal behavior.

This looks similar to prior issue with WebBrowser control in early pre-release.

Should I also create a bug report?

/Michael
BTW: In general #2203 feels solid! I do almost all my home development on #2203.

Yup! And as I noted, same bug for early prerelease of webbrowser control which is fixed in the beta. So I'm sure they know what functionality is missing. And I guess they double check for RibbonBar and other new UX features.

Hi Michael,

This is a new bug in PB 2019 R2 Beta 2203.

We have reported it to our product team and have provided the solutions in a KB. See below:

Thanks, Mark.

Setting "High DPI scaling override" = "System (Enhanced)" provides great workaround. Thx! (to other viewers: last paragraph on link provided by Mark)

I've tried several combinations of what Mark suggests, but:

- it only works one time ?

- with certain setting it seems to work better but then I get a blurry text

- most probably the next patch of Windows 10 is going to undo / change this behaviour (AGAIN)

It also happens when:

1) When debugging on a call to an imported C# class,

2) then "stepping into" a function call on the C# imported nvo,

3) see how snapdevelop IDE is opened and ...

Same re-scale occurs.

I'm at work so right cannot test right now if it also happens when you simply open up SnapDevelop indepently of debugging or importing.

Hi Miguel, I'd expect the High DPI scaling override solves the redraw also in this case because it is Windows doing the "pixel conversions" underneath PB IDE. I guess most of the IDE is written many years ago where High DPI and hence scaling didn't exist.
