Powerbuilder 2019 R3.

My users have just this week begun to report an inability to print from the deployed Powerbuilder app to the Adobe PDF printer. I have verified the same on my end. The Adobe PDF printer *does* work from other applications, however. When the users print to the Adobe PDF printer they get prompted for a filename and location, but after that the Adobe Print to PDF window that appears has no filename present in the dropdown selection box and the conversion progress bar never moves.

Oddly, the Microsoft PDF printer is still working.

I notice that there is a faulting EXE in the Windows 10 log: splwow64.exe. I have not been able to determine much from searching the web for that, and I don't know if it's directly related to the issue at hand:

Faulting application name: splwow64.exe, version: 10.0.19041.1415, time stamp: 0xd4ce171b

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Adobe.

Anyone else experience issues like this?

if your run this search https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport/search?comments=splwow64.exe&product=PowerBuilder&component=&criteria=and&order= on the tickets site, you'll find several problems related to splwow64.exe.

Appeon also seems to have fixed some related bug with the MR released today for pb2021.

It could be a windows update or maybe an update of the adobe software.

I'd recommend you to create a ticked on https://www.appeon.com/standardsupport

regards.

I've been encountering this issue for a few months, now. Is there any solution for 2019 R3?
