Has anyone else had an issue converting a DW to PDF with a small PNG icon in the detail band?

The first page renders just fine:

.. but it starts overlapping multiple images on subsequent pages:

It happens on Grid and Freeform, but I was able to verify that this only happens when you have a DataWindow with groups.

Anyone know of a workaround?

UPDATE:

It seems that if a group header has a non-zero height, the images on subsequent pages are affected.

Am I really the only one seeing this issue?

I'm seeing it in the detail band just using column controls and a single group header -- no PNGs..

Again, only on the second page and beyond.

Hi Dan,

Besides what Chris mentioned, have you tried doing a Full build and optimize?

Thanks for the suggestions, Govinda. That didn't seem to help. I just noticed it also affects fields with transparent text. I've put together a full application example - hopefully you guys can reproduce what I'm seeing.

Hi Dan;

  Tested with your DWO & images.

DW Painter Preview  =>  Native PDF  => Distill PDF

Note: Tested with PB 2019 R2 build 2353

Hi Dan;

Worked perfectly for me until I added .... dw.Modify ("DataWindow.Export.PDF.NativePDF.UsePrintSpec = Yes")

That seems to be the source if the image distortion!!! :-(

Interesting.. I commented just that line and still see the issue. You are looking at the SECOND page, correct?

Yes, 2nd page is OK for me

Check your DWO to see if that property is already ON.

Greetings, Daniel -

Have you tried using a jpg/jpeg instead of png?

For reasons unknown to me, PB seems to experience unusual "issues" using graphics files in png format in conjunction with NativePDF support.

Regards, John

Hi Daniel;

  Would you have a simple DWO source and a few images that you can attach to this post? Then we can see if we can replicate this issue.

Regards ... Chris

Thanks, Chris! :)
