Resolved you are deployng to the PowerServer Mobile (PB Edition), please select the Mobile project type and then deploy again

Hi to all!

I have installed a trial version of PB2017. AEM works (read "activated" under the license section for 30 gg), but code examples (web application) gives me a error (in the subject) when deploy application from powerserver toolkit.

Someone can help me?

Example project is WEB and not MOBILE.

I try uninstall Powerserver Mobile, but at this point no longer works AEM application.

Hi Gianna;

  • Can you tell us what the error message(s) are?
  • When you deploy from PS Toolkit, you would to create an App  Profile. During the profile creation, the wizard tests your IIS, PS, & DBMS connections. Did these tests work OK?
  • What MS-Window version are you using?

Deploy at task 1, send me a messagebox whit subject message (You are deploying to the Powerserver mobile (PB Edition)...)



test wizard is ok for all 



I'm using windows 10, I have installed trial version of PB 2017 (file installer PWRBLDR-2017-1666-UNV-EN.zip). I would like to try your code examples in file zip.

Chris, in trial version there is poweserver web? how can i try it before buying it? it's not cheap...

   Yes, A PowerServer trial that includes WEB functionality can be downloaded from here. The click the Get a Trial link.

Hi Gianna,

This is happening because PowerServer Mobile (PB Edition) can only deploy online mobile applications. If you would like to deploy to the web you would require PowerServer Web in any of it's editions. 

If you would like to try PowerServer Web, you can request a trial at: https://www.appeon.com/products/appeon-web.html

But please consider that PowerServer Web and PowerServer Mobile (PB Edition) cannot be installed in the same computer. So you would need to uninstall the PB Edition first.

I hope this helps clarifying the error.
