Hello,

I'm asking this on behalf of a co-worker, who is working from Belgium. Since this morning appeon.com is unreachable to him. I experienced a short outage myself, but after that it worked and I could connect again. I work from the Netherlands.

Since we're close to finishing a release... Trying to create an offline license also failed. I don't know if it has anything to do with the switch to another DNS service provider.

He would ask this question himself, if he could get on this site. Any help appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Jan

About half an hour ago I got a mail from my co-worker. The site is reachable for him again.

He had tried different browsers, cleared cache, did some reboots, which initially did not solve his problem. Probably this has been a local problem. Anyway, it is resolved.

Thanks for all your helpful response!

Kind regards,

Jan

Glad to be a part of this community. And that we can still do the release next week.

You can run a global ping test and see that the Website is available: https://www.uptrends.com/tools/ping-test

Also, I don't understand what you mean by offline license fails.  Offline licenses have no dependency on the Website except when you need to regenerate a new license file (for example moving from one machine to another).

Please forgive me for my ignorance, but can switching to another DNS provider really take an estimated 7 days?

Normally no, and can be as short as few hours.

Hi Jan ...We have customers logged in from Germany, France, UK, United States, Canada, Belgium, Israel, Brazil, India, Mexico, Russia, Singapore at the moment just to mention a few from a variety of countries. Please tell your friend to clear their browsers cache and try again (or reboot their machine and try again).

There's a big orange banner at the top of this page saying:

"Website Maintenance Notice: Appeon has scheduled to switch to another DNS service provider between Dec. 24 and Dec. 30. There is a slight chance you will experience a service interruption or slowness of the website during that period. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this."

Not sure if that could have something to do with the problem?

yw, to be honest, what Armeen already said: it doesn't seem to make much sense if your co-worker is using an offline license.

He's not using an offline license, but tried to create one and was unable to.
