Good Morning
We are distributing a workspace for mobile applications through an .apk and when installing the file on mobile phones, we have security restrictions that prevent us from installing. The user must manually disable the security of the mobile to allow the installation of the .apk.
Is there a way to avoid mobile security restrictions for corporate workspace?

Thank you
Javier

Hi Javier,

To my knowledge, all Android devices, by default, require the user to enable 3rd party app installation permission on their device if they want to install an application that does not come from the Google PlayStore. This is a security measure not unique to corporate users, and I don't believe there is a way around this.

Cordially,

Mariano C.

Adding to what Mariano said, your company's system admin can deploy the .APK the same way you would deploy any other private .APK within your organization.  For example, you could use a mobile device management (MDM) solution to deploy the .APK in a secure manner rather than giving the app user more privileges than necessary.  In short, there is no special requirement how the .APK you develop with PowerBuilder has to be deployed to the mobile device.  You could even post your .APK to to the Google Play store if that makes sense to do.
