Hello you all!

I want to show the logo on a report, however it is shown only when I run the report from my computer. When other user tries to run the report the logo is not shown on the report.

This are the steps I am following on Infomaker,

1. Insert -> Control -> Picture

2. Click where I want the logo on the report

3. I select the image and click Open.

I have the image saved in the Famous folder where I have the pbl file.

What else can I do?

Thanks,

Joizeth,

That is because you selected the image from your local path which no other client has.

In order for the Logo to show for all the Famous Clients you need to have it in a shared folder on the server (\\[server]\Famous60\Custom). After that is done then select this image from that location in InfoMaker. Make sure the image path looks something like this - \\[server]\Famous60\Custom\Logo.bmp.

Correct Chris ... you should never hard code a full path to any external resource! Either NO Path or a Relative Path.

Good Morning Chris,

I save the image on the shared folder on (\\[server]\Famous60\Custom), and I added the imagen on the report from that location, however the logo is still not shown on the reports.

Where else can I verify the location of the file?

Thanks,

Joizeth

'E' is probably not a shared directory for everyone.

Do this - Run the Famous Client and select the 'Famous Directory' action (If running Classic then go to 'Help' and under that you will see Famous Directory). When you select that it will open up File Explorer. This will take you to the shared folder that Famous uses. This should NOT be 'E'. If it is then your Famous Client setup might not be correct. Copy this path and add '\Custom\Logo 2.bmp' as the entry for File Name.

If you continue to have issues you should go to the Famous Software website and look for the InfoMaker tutorials that describe how to do this. You can also call into Famous Support and they will be happy to show you where to find them.
