Resolved What to specify in database engine

Hi

 

I am trying to install Appeon on my system, however I get stuck at specify database engine,

could some one pls help me with that? SQL anywhere 12 is on my system. does sql anywhere come wwith the Appeon installer(offline installer)? IF not, what am i supposed to specify in database engine

Hi Aneesha;

  You can grab the newer SA DB engines for free using the "Developer" edition download. Install this SA version first and then run the PB install, selecting the Demo Apps. The installer will then let you use either SA 16 or SA - whatever it finds installed.

Hi Aneesha, Just deselect the demo apps and then it won't require SQL Anywhere and you can proceed to install PowerBuilder.  If you really want to run the demo apps, then you should upgrade SQL Anywhere to version 16 or 17.  I don't believe our demo apps are designed to work with such old version of SQL Anywhere.
