Resolved Webrowser2 runtime vs development

When I open (navigate) to a PDF in runtime I get a menu with save icon its looks nice. During runtime no save icon and only download icon and it does nothing. Looks like a chrome download screen

 

What is is missing ? I dont receive any errors.

 

As always any help appreciated

Hi Richard;

  Are you deploying with the WebView2 control that came with the PB installation or the "green" version (one supplied by Microsoft)?

Hi Chris, The version supplied by microsoft using the fixed runtime. Does it require edge to be installed and also set as default browser ? both are true

I had failed to create the folder webviewer2 in the folder where appeon is installed. Once I copied the runtime and repackaged the files and recopied it worked fine. Thanks

That is great news - I am super glad that you resolved this runtime issue.

BTW: by doing this action, you are now using the WebView2 version that is prepackaged with PB.

Hi Richard;

  Thanks for letting us know that your using the MS version in the deployment scenario. In that case, you'll need to make sure that the WebView2 runtime is also installed on the deployment machine.
