PowerBuilder 2022 Build 1892.

When we moved from PB 2019 to 2022 I changed our browser control from Internet Explorer to the built in WebBrowser control.

Users are reporting that the content doesn't display. If they install InfoMaker, the content will appear.

Is there an installation step we are missing? We are installing the pbcef subfolder. The PB Runtime folder is added to the registry App Path key.

Hi Roland;

  That DLL should be there on your PB installation. FYI ...

  Also, make sure that you request that this WB support be deployed with the runtime ...

It is missing from our application's deployment of the PB Runtime. It is in my folder in the your screen shot. The person who creates installers is on vacation today so I will let him know on Monday.

Hi Roland;

  FYI ...

  • PB 2022 build 1892's web browser is the older Chromium Engine based control.
  • PB 2022 R2's web browser control is based on WebView2

So I suspect installing IM installs some other missing needed DLLs for the Chromium engine.

You can find out all these deployment dependencies in the PB Help, keyword search "runtime" and then follow the "List of Runtime Files" link.

HTH

Regards .... Chris

It looks like we are missing pbwebbrowser.dll from the install.
