I need to make a web service that connects to a database, that is, from a computer run a program and connect to a web service that in turn serves as a bridge to a database.

The web service should only serve to allow access to a database from anywhere the program runs on a personal computer.

Thanks

Hi Carlos;

   That is a great task for a PowerBuilder built Web Service. You will need either the Cloud or Universal version of PB 2017 to achieve this.

I do not know who you are or for whom you work, but when I review all your answers to different questions asked in this community, the majority is always the same and is related to the latest version of PB2017, it seems that the previous versions of PB do not It would have worked fine ever.

With all due respect I can tell you that your answer will not help or help anyone, on the contrary, it will end up confusing the programmer.

I think the main idea of this community is to help each other and not try to sell a product to all the people who have a doubt.

The worst of all is that no one else will answer me and I will not be able to get an appropriate answer for my problem.

On the web and on YouTube, I found thousands of videos about creating a web service on PB, only that I wanted to get a particular help from someone from this community.

I reiterate what I say with great respect and hopefully I am wrong, if someone does not know an answer it is better not to write it down.

Thank you
