Hi PowerBuilder community,

We have found that if the user types a curly bracket/brace - "{" - into the web browser control, that the chrome-devtools window is opened.

I.e As below, using the webbrowserdemo application.

1. Focus the web browser control with a mouse click.

2. Type "{"

3. The chrome-devtools will open.

This causes a problem if the user wants to type "{" or for application security.

This affects my application, and also the webbrowserdemo from https://community.appeon.com/index.php/codeexchange/powerbuilder/273-web-browser-demo-from-elevate-2020#322 (which i have pictured above).

Using Powerbuilder 2021 build 1311.

Is there a way to stop?

Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We reproduced it on our end and will do further research to figure it out. We will keep you posted about the progress. Sorry that there is no way to disable it currently.

kai

Thanks! I'll wait for a patch. Let me know if I should raise a bug report, because otherwise I will leave it at that.
