Hi Christoph;

  FYI: I have a multi-media object within my STD framework. It's a multimedia object called "vs_ole_media_player_master" located in the STD_FC_Base.pbl library. It will play AVI, MIDI, MP3, M3U, WKV, MPEG, MP4, MOV, (and many more types) from either a File or a URL address, as follows:

 The Multimedia object was part of my recent 2020 release of the STD framework and is also now included in the 2021/2022 framework releases ( http://chrispollach.blogspot.com/2021/01/2020r2.html ).

  You can download the Multi-Media demo App from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/stdfndclass/files/Applications/PowerBuilder/MultiMedia

BTW: The framework is free to use & distribute. It's fully open source (like the PFC). So help yourself to what you need. ;-)

HTH

Regards ... Chris

The list of what is supported is in the docs: https://docs.appeon.com/pb2022/pbug/ch04s05s01.html

If a format you need is not supported, please suggest enhancement to product@appeon.com

Hi Armeen.

I believe that the statement "Supports browsing videos at common formats in web page (MPEG-4 ASP, H.264, and H.265 formats are unsupported)" is confusing.

Andreas.
