Hi guys / girls,

I know I'm lots of times "bitter" towards Appeon, but that's simply because I'm an old powerbuilder developer who's gone through hell for lots of years with Powerbuilder and shitty support.

I'd like to request you all to upvote this post as a tribute to Appeon and its contributors (the MVP team), who are really doing an unseen great job on our legacy powerbuilder! No, I'm not drunk (I will remain bitter and old, no worries) but I think they deserve it ...

It's not for me, it's for the Appeon team !

regards and happy coding,

MiguelL

Thanks Miguel for the recognition!  All of us at Appeon are very passionate about PowerBuilder so I think that is key reason we are doing relatively better job.

yw Armeen, you deserve it: I think the key reason is that your care for your customers, knowing that that's a good way to keep them. Big companies like Sybase, SAP and many others, strangely have lost that simple knowledge/interest, as being ruled by mostly people who only care about how well they look inside the company and don't give too much about their customers as long as they get contracts and the numbers are ok.

For anyone wondering "where this came from": I just finished adapting our code to use C# functions imported into nvo's with the DLL importer tool, for which previously we needed to wrap them in an activeX DLL. No more need for installers and now we can simply distribute the DLLs with each version without conflicts, having to set GUIDS and version numbers.

What a relief!

Hi Miguel ;

   You're not getting old... just more "mature".   ;-)
