Resolved Upgrading to MR 3356

Hi all,

Just wondering... if I update PB to the latest MR 3356, but leave the runtime parameter the same, (1 release earlier), do I need to create another Runtime Installer and update the Runtime settings in the application when deploying to get the latest bug fixes into the deployed product?

Hi Tracy;

  Build 3356 is a matched pair of updates to both the PB IDE &:it's runtime. In order to get the full benefits of all the fixes, you need to update both to the same build. That means of course then a complete full build & deploy of your Apps.

I'm sorry, I didn't word that question very well. I was thinking about the Runtime Packager? Do I need to create a runtime package for MR 3356 and set the project Run directory to the installer's directory?

Yes, that's one way & Modify the <AppName>.XML file or ...

Copy the runtime DLLs to the App's exe folder or ...

Like the old way, use the System Path to point to the runtime.
