Trying out PB 2025 beta.

My application uses the PFC.

When I start the application, I get a pop-up:

Pressing OK shuts down the application.

Probably a problem with the PFC code: a control type that isn't supported anymore.

I use the same code in version 2022 R3 Build 3397 and I don't get this error.

Hi, Ian -

How old is the version of the PFC libraries you are using?

Are you using the MDI Ribbon Bar (as in mdirbb_1)?

Support for newer controls in PB, such as the web browser control, the ribbon bar, etc. require that you use the latest version of the PFC libraries for an MDI application. These objects did not exist when older versions of the PFC were released, so they do not support those objects.

Best regards, John

Hi Ian;

  You must use the 2025 version of the PFC!

I’ll download the latest PFC libraries and give it a go.

I'll be doing a push later today to update the security service for the ribbonview control in the 2025 version of the project.  Pull the libraries sometime after I do that update.

Actually, the existing 2025 project already has the change to support the ribbonview control. Even the PFC 2022 project had that change. What version of the PFC are you using?

"ribbonview" should be "ribbonbar" The control is called ribbonbar, it's just referred to as ribbonview in some of the documentation.
