Hi,

I am trying to Install Powerbuilder2022 R3 via the Installer. When I am trying to Open the PB22 Exe getting an error like below.

The ordinal 2021 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\Appeon\Powerbuilder 22.0\IDE\pbsys.dll

After clicking ok to the above message(Image: PB 22 Ordinal Error.png), Another information displays as attached below (PB 22 Installation Error.png)

I checked the pbsys.dll is present in the same path mentioned above in system.

Can anyone give any ideas to solution?

Hi,

I have uninstalled the PB and rebooted the system and tried installing using Offline installer as advised. But still the Issue is not resolved.

Using the downloaded Package I installed PB 2022 R3 successfully.

But Still I am facing the same error when i try to open the PB 2022 R3 application.

Another mate of mine is also facing same error.

Is there any other way to resolve this issue?

Hi Arthi ;

This sounds like it might be a bad (incomplete) install of PB (just my guess ATM). I would suggest ...

  1. Uninstall PB 2022 R3
  2. Reboot your machine
  3. Run the Appeon Installer again from the Appeon Website but this time, select the "Offline" option to bring down the PB Install locally.
  4. Run the local PB Installer "As Admin"

HTH

Regards .. Chris

I would also check if there's an antivirus software that incorrectly quarantined any files from the PB folder, just in case
