Resolved There Solution of the scroll in the datawindow with many images?

Hello Chris...


I have a problem with the datawindow, the detail is that I made a list of products with their image, but when I scroll vertically, the datawindow is locked, and in many cases it takes me out of the application by memory saturation , and limits me in the sense that I can not present lists of products because the application is overwhelmed, the images weigh around 5 to 10kb each, and configure the AEM for the datawindow cache and remains the same.


I would like to know if you can help me and I also tell you, with the new update of the R3 the datawindow splices the detail with the header (I already play with the positions and even so it remains the same, they tell me that it can be a bug), and the information covers the titles of the column ...

Hi Arturo;

  From the last screen capture, it seems to me that the issue might be related to DW Control resizing. Over-resizing could be the cause of the lost scrolling ability.

  Just a guess on may part (or my eyesight is not what it used to be - LOL)?

At first glance it seems to me that you would want to RETRIEVE AS NEEDED rather then retrieving all rows at once.

If that's not ideal, try just retrieving X number of rows at a time. One way this is often handled is to have ab Alphabet bar across the top with those letters under whom data exists to be enabled, and the other letters disabled.

Here is how the USPS handles the exact same situation:

Hello, I appreciate the tip, but I already tried it and the problem is that it gets stuck when I scroll and has images the Dw ... and try to literally everything ... I only need to know if it is on the part of appeon and / or power server ... in the web part there is no problem, the detail is the mobile, my solution was to paginate it by the number of products, but that takes away the view in the mobile part and it does not make me an optimal way to present the information, because the important thing is the user experience ... I think solving this detail of the datawindow, would give a very good powerServer, I already have applications in production and my users tell me that they would like to present the information that way, vertically, not only 3 products ... aside that it implies more man hours, to find a solution to that detail by the scroll ... I hope you take it into account, that it would really help a lot ...
