Will we be able to have multiple lines of tabtext in PowerServer as we do with PowerBuilder on our TabPage objects?

Carriage Returns/Newlines are able to be added to the tabtext property. When running on Client-Server they show properly but when run on the web they are truncated at the 1st line.  The workaround in the past was to use PowerTips to display anything after the 1st line, but we would like to return to multiple lines.

We are currently on PowerServer 2020 working on conversion to PowerServer 2022.

Regards,

Mike

Mike S, I understand that 2020 & 2022 are different. I'm not exactly sure how we got off on the wrong foot. "If it works in PB it will work in PS 2022" In some instances PowerServer applications do not appear as PowerBuilder applications. We have several issues we've been monitoring over the years. I was asked to research this particular one.

Issue: The text that appears on the tab of a tabpage is truncated (1 line only) when run from PowerServer. We were wondering if there was a resolution so more than 1 line can appear on the tab of the tabpage.

This is not an issue with Client-Server. Multiple lines can appear on a tab of a tabpage.

I've searched to see if this issue was resolved in future versions of PowerServer, but have not found any info saying so.

Regards,

Mike

the main differences in PS vs PB now are related to database interaction and deployment.

Gotcha. Fair enough. I present these findings to my team.

Adding to what Mike said, please try out PS 2022 R3... it can practically do everything client/server can do... night and day difference from PS 2020.

It occurs in PS 2020.  I have not verified whether it works or not in PS 2022.

PS 2020 and PS 2022 are not the same product.

PS 2022 is basically PB 2022 but uses rest apis to connect to the database instead of database drivers. If it works in PB it will work in PS 2022.

"when run on the web they are truncated at the 1st line.  "

Do you mean when running in PS 2020 this occurs?

If not, which version/build of PS 2022 are you talking about?
