Is there a plan to support SVG for menu icons? Is there a workaround to support it?

Thank you,

Yuri

Hi, I wish to bring this up again if there is a plan for support of SVG in PowerBuilder. The only vector format that is supported is the old WMF fomat, not even the Enhanced MetaFile (EMF) is supported in PowerBuilder. Vectors are more prettier (Charts to be more cleare) in a PDF document than raster fromats as png, gif, bmp and so on.

Even though "The world" is moving more and more over to the internet and screenbrowsing on different devices, there is still a need for showing charts in PDF documents.

So I wish there would be support for SVG since that is a format that is a more common vector format used out there.

PS hope it was ok to continue tgis old post.

I believe the best thing you can do is to submit an enhancement request.

Hi Yuri;

  No, the SVG image type is not supported at this time. PB 2017 is based on the version 12.6 Classic IDE and thus only supports .ICO, .PNG, .GIF or .BMP image types currently. You would have to convert your SVG images to one of the supported menu item / toolbar image types.

Regards ... Chris
