I am following the PB Tutortials for PB 2017. I am having a problem running the applications cause it does not have the database for the examples. I do not want to use the SQL Anywhere and would like to get the scripts to create the tables and supporting objects in a different format. Does anyone know where I can get these SQL scripts?

The database file should be here:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Appeon\PowerBuilder 17.0

Hi Jeff ... that means that you probably opted out of installing the sample & example applications. Thus the PB DEMO DB for PB20217 was not installed either. Reinstalling PB2017R3 & choosing those optional Apps will get you the DemoDB.

I am using PB 2021. I have reinstalled the application a couple times and the folder does not exist. Also the installer does not have an option for Demo DB.

You can use the Demo Apps & DB that comes with PB2021. They key is in the Appeon Installer's start-up. Have a look at the "Options" tab page on the far right hand side. In there you will find prompts for the DB Driver & DBMS to load the Demo DB & Apps to. Make sure though that you install the DBMS first before running the Appeon Installer otherwise, you will not see the various DB options to choose. HTH

I found the options tab after uninstalling everything and using the offline installer. Now the question is, how can I get the scripts for SQL Server, Oracle, or something else other than SQLAnywhere or PostgreSQL?

Sorry... The PB Demo DB is only available for either SQLAnyWhere or PostGreSQL only currently.

That is unfortunate. I would expect that a business who is trying to promote their software would have something available for the more popular DB's. Does anyone have the scripts to create the tables and data for SQL Anywhere or PostgreSQL?

SQL Anywhere has a utility called dbunload to create table create scripts. It also creates a script to restore data.
