Hi all,

Our customer informed us about an issue with SMTPClient.

His recipients are receiving emails, which is fine, but they have the wrong creation time. Instead of today's date, it is set to 2023-1-12 and they complain about it.

While testing, my emails have creation time 1970-1-1.
There's an simple app in the attachment (courtesy of Ramón San Félix Ramón).

There's also a detail of a message received in a gmail inbox.

As far as I know, there's no way for a user to set the creation time of an email.
smtp server for testing:
mail.smtp2go.com, port 2525

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Tomáš

Here's the header from our customer, with highlights where the dates are different.

When I tested it, I got the correct date in the yellow area. However, Gmail claims that the creation date is 1970-1-1 (only when showing details, in the inbox, it looks ok).

Everything I can see in the headers you provided shows that the sent date was set correctly.  However, that is only part of the headers.  Can you post the entire set of headers?
