Hi Moshe;

      I had that issue before when generating a PDF with "extended" characters in it where it looked great on the PC but it failed to render properly on my mobile devices. I cannot remember exactly what the resolution was but I do remember that it was tied to the PDF Standard type. For example:

DC.Modify ("DataWindow.Export.PDF.NativePDF.PDFStandard='<0 - None, 1 - PDF/A-1a, 2 - PDF/A-1b, 3 - PDF/A-3a, 4 - PDF/A-3b, 5 - PDF/A-3u>'")

     I seem to remember in my case that setting the value to "PDF-1A" did the trick. My memory might be off a little, so please try a few options here. Also, this fix was for the Native PDF feature of PB2017 or PB2019.

HTH

Regards ... Chris

Hi Chris

Can you tell why some fields in dw are reversed when I save it to PDF ? all fields are the same font , size ….

one word can be perfect and the second is reversed … all words are in Hebrew .

Hi

It might be that the fonts are missing. From the PB Help.

Arthur

Packaging custom fonts

If your DataWindow objects uses many custom fonts, and these custom fonts are not supported well by the operating system and Adobe Reader, you can consider packaging these custom fonts with your application. Note that using custom fonts will increase the generated PDF file size.

By default, these custom fonts are not packaged with the application. To package custom fonts for PDF generation with the application:

In the PowerBuilder IDE, add the following to the [Data Window] section of your pb.ini that PowerBuilder uses for initialization.

[Data Window]

NativePDF_IncludeCustomFont=1

The default location of pb.ini for PowerBuilder 2017 R3 on Windows 7/8.1/10 is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Appeon\PowerBuilder 17.0.

For a deployed application, create a text file named pb.ini with the text above and deploy it with your application executable.

Can you correctly read any other pdf's in Hebrew on your mobile? (not having been created with your program).
