Hi guys,

we have just updated one of our customers with a new version of our software. we didn't change the PB version , using PB2019 R2.

in our software we are using a barcode font, which is properly installed and worked in our previous version of our software.

we have included the pb.ini file with the necessary entries as

[Data Window]
NativePDF_Valid=1
NativePDF_IncludeCustomFont=1

Suddenly our customer warns us that recipients of the PDF file are no longer seeing the barcode font and receive an error message.

When we compare the size of the files previous to our update , we can see that each file is about 75KB or more. Now it's only 10-20 KB , so i am assuming the font is not embedded anymore in the PDF save as function , despite the presence of the pb.ini file ...

Any tips where to look please ? As far as we know we didn't touch this function nor functonality. So strange....

TIA

John

I've found the problem , looking for hours and hours , post the question and then found it.

So sorry guys.

I did create a new application object using the same PBLs  , and forgot to check the checkbox in the new application object to "Packing customs font in the generated PDF"

New Features in PowerBuilder 2019 R2- Using NativePDF as Default - - What's New (appeon.com)

That gets set in the application object.
