Hi,

Maybe, anybody helps me or send me a solution, how can I run a development application in PB as Windows Service and as a standard Windows application with the frame?

Hi Pawel;

  I've used this free software for over a decade to run PB Apps as an O/S service. That includes newer O/S version's as well like W10/W11 & "server" versions like W2019/W2022 as well. The name is hilarious though...

Hi Chris.

You are right. NSSM is pretty nice. I also used it to make some java applications (web applications with embedded web server) to run as services.

Andreas.

No problem, Rolnad from TopWiz has a solution on his website that we have used for years successfully.

Hi.

Powerbuilder does not create applications that can directly run as windows services. You can take a look at Topwiz Software - PBNIServ (topwizprogramming.com) (PBNIServ) which is a third party tool for that.

What do you mean by standard Windows application with the frame? You are searching how to create an mdi windows application or something else?

Andreas.
